Our Board of Directors & Executives

Dave was appointed to the Board in November 2015 and is a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with WalterFedy, an integrated architecture, engineering, and construction firm. Dave and his family reside in the village of St. George.

Brad joined the Board in March 2022. Brad is the General Manager of a small property development company in Toronto, and has over 30 years experience in the corporate agricultural world. He is a long-time member of the Paris Agricultural Society and 4H Canada’s National Foundation. Brad and his family live in Brant County on the family farm.

Jason has owned and operated William Kipp Funeral Home since 2005 and is a strong supporter of many sports teams, clubs and organizations in the North Dumfries & Brant County areas. Having grown up on a farm just west of Ayr, Jason has a great interest in farming and rural life.

Cathy has been a member of our Board since 2010. Now retired after 38 yrs as General Manager for a Cambridge company, her daily business activities were in the manufacturing sector and her core beliefs remain consistent with those of AFM. Cathy and her family are long-time residents of Ayr.

David joined the Board in March 2022 and is a Professional Engineer and Quality Assurance Manager at a company in Cambridge. He serves as an Elder and Treasurer at his church and is an active member of the Rockton Agricultural Society. David and his family are the sixth generation to live on the family farm west of Kirkwall.

Ed joined the Board in March 2023. Recently retired as President of Cambridge Brass, Ed holds a BA in Economics along with an MBA. A long-time resident of Reidsville, Ed and his family have a small cow / calf operation and are further developing their property in a sustainable fashion. Ed has served on various committees and boards within industry, church and community

Jeff joined Ayr Farmers Mutual in 1993 and became President and CEO in 2013. Jeff has held many positions on various Mutual Insurance Industry Committees, and recently completed a 12-year term, where he was chair with the Board of Directors at Farm Mutual Re. Jeff was raised in rural Brant County where he continues to reside with his wife and 3 kids.

Jodi joined Ayr Farmers Mutual in 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer and has more than 20 years insurance leadership experience in both company and brokerage operations. Jodi has a passion for people and customer service. She embraces the opportunity to work closely with the AFM team to provide vision, care, integrity, and resilience to create an exceptional experience. Jodi enjoys living in Stratford with her family.

Dave joined the Company as Controller/Treasurer in 1990 after receiving his BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and became Chief Financial Officer in 2009. Dave has held several positions on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Insurance Accountants Association and is past Treasurer of Cognition Plus software. Dave and his family live in Baden.

Peter joined Ayr Farmers Mutual in 2018 and accepted the role of CIO in 2020. With more than 20 years of experience in IT leadership, Peter is passionate about driving technology innovations to enhance employee and Policyholder experience.

Travis joined the company in 2006 as a Claims Representative and has held several positions of increasing responsibility over the past 15+ years, including managing the Claims and Loss Prevention Departments and being the functional lead for AFM’s Guidewire Software Implementation. Currently, Travis serves as the Vice President of Customer Experience and Enablement. Travis and his family are happy to call Guelph home.
